They Want Their Child's Success

My internet gaming story is go back to decade ago. When I was young(I guess may be I was 10 or 11 years old), my older brother recommended the online game ‘Baram-ui-nara(The Kingdom of the Wind)’. Soon I fell into that game, and my brother and I played that game many times a day.

 

Like many of the role playing games, making playing character is required to play that game. I made my characters and gave their names, selected their appearance. When It was a long time ago, there are a few things l can choose about their appearance. I could choose only their genders and hair styles. Compared to the recent games, it was very simple. However, for me, choosing them is not simple. I decided it very carefully, because that characters is mine and represent me.

 

As many addicts did, I also used to spend a lot of time on playing the internet games in front of the computer. Sometimes I stay all-night-stand with playing that game, and it made me can’t do something I have to do. However being older, I became stopped to playing games naturally because my real life became so busy. Now, I don’t play the internet games and don’t have interested in any more. But the Baran-ui-nara had been with my young age, I have a good memories of them.

 

Then, I thought about why people are addicted to the internet games. In my opinion, the Avata has been appealing to people. As I said above, Avata is represent oneself, and people feel like that avata is my pets or children. Players will be proud of themselves, when their avata reach to a high levels. I think It seems to similar to relations between parents and child. They hope  their child(Avata) succeed. For players, they want their avatas get a high goals so they play a long time to make it.

The reunification of North and South Korea

 Korea is the only divided nation in the world. In these days, people have a diverse idea of the reunification issue.

 

 In my opinion, We must to reunify as soon as possible.

The most important reason is that we are originally ‘the one’. We belong to the same race as we share the same blood and speak the same language. The separated families are missing their family. So we have to change this abnormal situation to originally.

 

 Exccept of these moral reason, Ther are many reasons we have to focus on.

There are many economic advantage . The north korea hasn’t been made a lot of development. There are many Natural resources we can take beneath the ground.

 

 The South Korea is a peninsula that is surrounded by the three-side-sea but we can’t use peninsula’s advantage cause we are blocked of the border. If the barrier vanishes, Ground transportation with the continent is available, then we can get a huge economical cost.

There is the reason the powerful nations like China, japan, USA, are focusing and keeping on korea’s reunification issue.

  In addition, Through the co-effort with North Korea, We can set up our broken history and tradition.

 

 On the other hand, There is also a negative side

Today, Much time has passed since division. There are many difference between the North Koreans and the South koreans. Economic level, cultures, living conditon, Political Thought, even speaking tone.

  To narrow these gap between north and south need long time-Decades or more- and enormous ‘reunification costs’.

 

We can’t expect concretely the many situations will be changed. Koreans worry about the huge cost that we will has to pay and have a vague fear from the difference.

 In terms of long sight, there is not just demage. we will get a more benefits.

At the expense of these current damages, Reunification is what we must be done

As time goes by, It will become more difficult.

The global warming

Korean people worrid about global warming.

But, they have ever had a direct attack cause by global warming, they don’t want to know how serious is it and do something. 

The one thing that I can sure is that if people don’t do anything to solve global warming,this problem will be getting worse. 

The best way to cure the sick earth is  just doing  what we know but don't do. 

There are many things we can do -to reduce using the air conditioner, automoiles, and any other things.  

Some people might be think that seems too small to make a change something big problems. 

Of couse it is small, however, Think about 'The butterfly effect' -small changing can be a huge changes.- 

You can do several things, and can tell other, and make them do that.

Why many people in korea commit suicide?

In my opinion, The most main reason about suicide is 'the mental weakness'.
Though people face to the same hard situlation, they will react differently. How react is depend on their mental power. When people who have a weak mental power is faced to difficult problems, they will abandon more easily than others.
The cause of these mental weakness is Koreans wrong idea : they want the only one in the top!
As Korean people are taugh that idea, they think 'not first class' is worth nothing.
So, people who work very hard, but can't be a top are frustrated very mush, and they will give up easily thinking that, 'I'm a loser. Ican't do anything......'

In order to change that widespreading wrong thinking, Making good education environment is most important. Young people are taught that every thing has their value, and if there is 'first', there must be the second, thire,......, and so on.
Then, Government has to bench-market other countries good case, and apply to Korean education.

Changeing people's mind is very hard, and it will take a long time.But, To avoid problem cause it is difficult, we can't be better.

The sign buildings

The sign buildings In seoul, The building is plastered a number of the signboards. Because of their too intensive colors, huge size of letters, and other many things,  people don't feel it's looks good. However, Now, Seoul's scenery have been changed! You may be heard about 'The business of design Seoul '. Do you know about that? I'll introduce it. It's the policy that  made Seoul to the place where people want to visit and live in the most. The plans : setting 'Design streets of Seoul' is one of their works. Trough the 'total design' of  Public structure and the signboards, they expect to be harmony in Seoul's streets. The guideline of that plan is to avoid intensive colors and too complicated shapes, choose consistant designs, and so on. many public structures have been changed to following them. Look at that pictures, (left one is before, and right one is after)     what do you think about it? Do you think many things are changed?For me, It seems to be more nice to look.Of couse, These change is Not only Seoul, But also many other cities.Seoul's streets had a lot of 'sign building' in a few years ago, Now, many of them was replaced and it's still on going.Therefore, In the near future, I guess, they will be no eyesores in Seoul. On the other hand, In advertisment, It is different matter.The purpose of the advertisment  is to promote.It must can be eye-catching and in order to that, they have to be unique!So, In my opinion, regulating advertisment is paradoxical!It is obvious that they are one of the main cause of hurting urban landscape, but how can we control advertisment?I thought it, but I have no idea to regulate them...... I want to know others oppinion.

Fading Work Ehtic

When compared people's  minds about work in the past with in this generation, Some people might feel there are many different things. Of couse, there are some changed, however, the main idea is the same. That is they want to 'the better life'!

People work hard and earn the money to get a better life style. In a few decades ago, Korea's walfare was terrible. Korean people always felt hungry, couldn't have a safe house, and so on.  For that people,The better life means they can eat, live, wear. They worked very very hard to solve that problems

 However, In this time, As Korean's economic status become better than in the past, Koreans can meet the  human's basic needs.   We don't have to worry about how we can eat, live, wear any more. Now, People want to meet the high level of needs.

 So, The meaning of 'the better life' is different in the past. The value was changed. people want to enjoy their life.They want to do what they are interested in. In that reason, people want to have a more extra time for themselves than earn the money.

I don't think these changes of work ethic mean people become lazy. We still work very hard, and alway spend a busy times for our 'better life'. It's just change of the value that people want to pursue.
